My 18 year old nephew, who is a good sportsman, comes to me and asks me about "bulking up a bit"... he has found a product made by "HMT" (Health-med technology) called "H.O.T" (hormone Optimizing trimatrix).

Ingredients as follows:-

- Avena Sativa extract 10:1

- 6 acetoxy-3-hydroxy-17-keto-etioallcholane

- 17a-methyl-17bhydroxyl-3-keto-delte-1,4,6

- etioallocholtriene

Condensed Agaricus bisporus extract.

This is all Greek to me, but can anybody advise me as to the legitamisy of this stuff, and whether its banned.

the bottle has a price on it @ R450 per 60 capsules.

The product is made in Cape town.

I am not 100% sure, but I think that these are classified as derivatives of anabolic steroids. As has been mentioned earlier there are much better options. a good resistance training program will do the trick. It will be designed to be sport specific and individualized to attain the personal goals of your son. The phrase "Hormone Optimizinf Trimatrix" alone makes the product sound questionable and unhealthy

The faster you put on the weight the faster it will turn to pork belly. As suggested, better to gym hard and eat well afterwards - allow the muscle to build in response to hard work and good nutrition, not thanks to acelhydroxyposanoidasphyxamatosis and a bunch of other gunk. Especially when you are 18 and the body is still growing.
