Hi All

So i'm looking for a set of LIGHT alu race wheels.

Anybody have pro's and con's or other suggestions opposed to what i've listed above? Looks like they all in the region of R7000-9000 and either Sub 1400 or there abouts.

I know a few riding the SLX's so really looking for guys that have ridden the 7850 C24 CL's or Ardennes.

If you know of a custom set that's awesomely stiff and light, let me know, gonna msg Johann as well and see what he can come up with ;)

Thanks

Clinton

Go for the DA7850 CL 24.

Read all the reviews...

Just be careful what brake pads you use with the C24's, apparently the braking surface is VERY thin and wears quite quickly with the wrong pads. Do a search on Google, quite a bit of info regarding this.

Awesome, thx Velo, will check it all out. Don't recall seeing anything about the brake pad types but yes, they do have ultra thin walls :D

Really only intend racing on them for hilly races :) I already have too many sets of wheels....EISH!

I can sell you 1260g alu wheels (Edge SLR200 with Sapim CX-Ray spokes) for R4,500! Can't beat the weight or price...

Otherwise, the Eastons are meant to be ultra reliable, but I wasn't a big fan of the hubs, just didn't seem as smooth as everyone makes out (maybe I'm just fussy coz it doesn't make sense given the great reviews everyone gives them).

Thx Shaun

Reason i've gone with DA is cos they're a more developed brand.

I also looked at the Soul2.0's but there's very little info about them, even at 1330g & R4000.

Never knew there was sub 1300, FFFFF.....ly that's light for Alu!!
