So my Doc has told me no saddle for a while and at least 10 more days before I can ride. Being more off than on the saddle for 10 weeks has driven me mad.

So I decided, sod this and popped some pain killers, loaded the little Hubber into his seat and off we went to the supermarket.

Man, was it awesome and it hit the spot :)

Popping painkillers to lessen the pain damage you KNOW you will inflicting sure ain't smart... but what the heck, I have two nuts, and I cannot ride like Lance (Is his abilities due to having one of 'em, or due to a needle?)

You got it for the anti-inflammatory effect, and now you are abusing the pain-killing side effect? just stay off the bike. You want to loose the jewels and go on hormone replacement therapy?

Heroes do stupid things to save at least one life.... Do not recall from your first post how many people you saved?

Love your sig :) " My muscles don't scream in agony, they cheer in ecstasy!!!"

If I could travel back in time 2yrs ago and could tell myself that I would love cycling, my old me would told me to sod off and talk crap somewhere else but only after asking me am I drunk again! Now I just love cycling.

I don't even have a car and I don't care, just got a an entry level hardtail and the world is a really happy place for me.

I must say started cycling 4 years ago.

And I often find myself on places.ie On top of a mountain - With a MTB or 40km outside town.... or in the next town with the road bike and I think that if someone would have told me then (back in 2007) that I would be there at that place with a bike - and loving it - It would have been difficult to believe.

2007 used to stumble out the clubs laughing at the runners and cyclists, thinking they're nuts. Now I see the same thing riding past the clubs and thinik to myself "thank goodness I changed my lifestyle" Will never ever look back.

Few years back after breaking my hand I was desperate to get back on the bike. Indoor trainer was so boring. So, I went on a ride with my hand still in its cast. Had to ride on flatish roads as I couldn't use the back brakes. Ended up having to go to the chiro to get my back sorted out as I was riding slightly skew, but worth it.

I can't go long without riding, I get miserable.......

I'm just glad that my wife and little Hubber are also interested in cycling. Need to just get wife her own MTB and little Hubber is still trying to figure out the pedals on his bike.

Living in Somerset West we are spoilt having bike friendly roads and its such a pleasure after work just going for a spin around the block with the little Hubber on his Y-bike and no fear of him getting squashed by an SUV. Actually, we just get a lot of people slowing down looking at us :)
