Well, I have not been to Groenkloof for a while. I was pleasantly surprised to see a lot of new singletrack.

They also "fixed" some of the very bad bits and build some dam walls on some of the tracks.

All in all, not a bad outing as far as I am concerned.rolleyes.gif

Was there for the 1st time after the 'construction works' as well, must say I didn't like pavement steps in the first bits of singeltrack but I guess its there for a reason (erosion or whatever some have said)

All the new singletrack is cool, will need to explore it some more, was very busy though, actually got stuck behind people on a few bits.

Dirtrider taking a smoke break was the highlight of my ride, should have stopped and taken a pic for heartcoppi

Pardon me for my ignorance, but as a newbie to Groenkloof, and going there for the first time last week (twice... B) ) what portions are new? Just started past the security guard at the hut... Thought it was awesome, the "steps" bring along a different challenge on their own, and the singletrack was great!

Looked on the map, can you start at the section on the "hairpin" bend on your way to the nature reserve entrance as well?

Only new sections are at the top next to the R21 highway . We always use to go all the way to the top next to the fence , now you got 2 to 3 diffrent options .
