Ride for Sunday 5 June 2011

 

4 passes

Depart from BP Garage (opp Waterstone) at 7:00 sharp

est. 5½ Hr in the saddle

Stop in Franschoek for a coffee and muffin :D

MariusL might be keen to join you for this spec ride..

Make sure to holler him (as the US folks would say)... :o

I chatted to him on Wed (or Tues eve - can't remember). He's riding on Saturday. So I can't join him for his commitment because of my commitments.

Just so you know, I spotted Headhunter secretly riding late mornings. I was on the way back and he was just on the way out at around 9:30. Lekka gevang laat slaap!

 

7:45 and my arm might be twisted :P

Ha ha :D ..saw you too ! Went to Betty's (your slaghuis shop ) for coffee....what you ride today, 15km's WOOSIE??? :D ;)

 

BTW late start as I had to hang the washing first :D

 

On Sunday we maybe meeting Ben @ Medi Clinic @ 7h10-15.....so Tank , no excuses get on the steel training bike and meet us @ Medi Clinic as well...compromise.

JA,JA you just all HTFU and start cycling at 4am when we are around... mean time back at my butchery, you sleeping lekka until 9am!

 

It is still dark at 7:10 but of course you would not know that sleepy head!

Yeah, the grapevine has it that he/Headhunter is doing more mileage than most European pros these days... :o

 

Nah. I am just foolin' around with ya :blush: - travelling in the US for a few weeks.

Nice ride today MariusL and Headhunter :thumbup: Great 25Km/h ave for the 4 passes :D Next time we make sure the weather is the same, so that I can use my shoe covers and we avoid that head wind past Theewaterskloof that Headhunter was talking about :blink:

Saturday 18th June 2011

 

Plan to leave BP Garage at Lord Charles @ 8-8:15am. Opposite Waterstone Mall.

 

Route: over Sir Lowrey's to Kleinmond (coffee/brekkie if you wish)via Houwhoek pass, then onto Gordons Bay via Clarens Drive/R44.

 

+/- 125km distance

+/- 25-27 km/h ave. About a 5 hour ride with coffee stop of 20 mins

Rides for Sunday look like they will be washed out, so I'm gonna ride Saturday.
