That bear is so much cooler than Zoidberg.

No-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o!!!!

Edman as you seem to be a an engineer or somebody with a scientific background, Zoidberg suited your hub persona. I figured if ever I met you in real life you'd be easy to recognise by your pink skin, face tentacles and claws.

(I should point out that my Hub avatar is not so very like what I look like!)

What a day I'm having!

First mampara drops the 'fist pump champion' for a nondescript bearded avatar...and now this!

Don't worry. I still scavenge for food in dumpsters and scuttle from rock to rock.

Playing a game at the moment. There's this badass mutant called a bloodsucker. It usually runs around cloaked (think the Predator movies) and is hard to spot. The only time you see it is when it sneaks up on you and starts chewing on your head:

Problem is, every time it happens, the atmosphere is completely ruined because it reminds me of this:

I thought I would add my 2 cents worth to some of the comments.

teh_runnah, not sure what happened to you at the Afriman BUT we got the win in the mens with Jason and 3rd place in the womens with Sam, totally fuelled by 32Gi, no miracles from any energy drinks, only lots of hard work. Its like taking a supplement if you dont eat correctly.

As for artificial sweetner, not a chance ;-), hey but thats our little secret, from a nutrition point a view we only advocate natural. We are launching our neutral flavour soon, no flavouring at all, you will see how naturally sweet it is, remember its a honey extract, its where the base sweetness stems from.

Maybe I'm flogging a dead horse here, but perspective is always needed where marketing runs rampant:

All quotes from: http://www.gntriathlon.co.za/Public/ViewNews.aspx?id=289

Spong triumphant in hot Afriman

"... Spong took the lead of the 85km race (10km run, 70km bike, 5km run) within the first kilometer and gradually built a solid lead. By the time he was nearing the end of the bike leg his lead was sitting around 4 minutes. “Then I bonked. The sugar levels just crashed”. Spong though had a big enough lead to hold onto the win. The run was by no means an easy one, as it was over gravel with only 1/5km on tar and also 1/5km on single track trail. ..."

Just to let everybody know that irrespective of anything else... You can still bonk even if you are using the latest 'wonder" energy mix

Maybe his form is due to his coach, and not the modified sugar he is taking:

"...For Spong the win was a welcome show of form as he is off to Malaysia in November to compete in the Powerman race there. “I have been with John Hamlett (coach of former Comrades Marathon winner Andrew Kelehe) now for over a year and we have been training hard..."

I'll go for ability / coach / training before I go for a sugar to get results!

Use the Training Centre. I've just had problems with garmin connect - barely using it now, but did download the training centre. It's less frustrating.

Training Centre is just plain aweful! Have a look at http://www.zonefivesoftware.com/sporttracks/ - version 2 was free, however version 3 can be run as a trial version but with a few non-critical limitations.
