_Daemon_ Posted September 17, 2007 Share This is such a HOT bike http://www.transitionbikes.com/2007/images/Blindside_WebLarge.jpg The new Blindside is taking over the top spot in the Transition Bikeslineup as our largest travel bike. Designed to be quick and easy tothrow around with just the right amount of travel. The bike isextremely versatile with DH friendly geometry like a lower bottombracket and slack headtube for railing corners at high speed. We alsodesinged this bike to shine in freeride environments like Whistlerwhere you need a bike that can handle any situation. From steeptechnical rocky sections to massive drops and jumps, the Blindside cando it all.

Thug Posted September 17, 2007 Share Given that freeride bikes generally only have two blades up front, wouldn't it be better to put a "road" bike rear derailleur on given the much smaller profile ?
Mudsimus Posted September 17, 2007 Share We fit quite a few jump, DH and Trail bikes with road der's. I've found that you have to go a long way to beat a 9sp 105....even on a DH bike!
MintSauce Posted October 24, 2007 Share Hey Daemon....a very late response to your post but I tend to miss things as I'm not on the Hub too much lately. You've been posting a couple Transition pics...are you considering getting one? One of my mates in Whistler rode the bike that I think preceded this one, the Grand Mal. He LOVES it! It's SO plush....feels like you can hit a curb and not even know it!I met at least 6 or 7 people riding different models and everyone loved them. Really good looking and performing bikes! Red Zone Posted October 24, 2007 Share what is the point of the bar between the Disk break caliper and above the BB?
MintSauce Posted October 24, 2007 Share Ja, saw one of those. Never spoke to him about that one. What's the travel like?Foe....the discbrake mounts to a bracket that is attached to the arm. It isolates the brake from the suspension movement so that the two don't affect each other.....something like that

Red Zone Posted October 24, 2007 Share makes sense so you still get full bounce while under breaking.
