Howzit guys

So 2 weeks ago did the lake eland super classic, which was am awesome race except for being full on charged on a nice fast flowing section of tight single track with no where to go but bush either side from 4 big wildebeest running up the track. So all 4 of us in a line tried our best to get out the way, fron guy not being so succesful with i think all 4 maybe standing on his rim, spokes bust and tyre popped along with buckled rim, that was him done.

i got out the way only enough for the last fat running wildebeest to manage to stand on my back rim on his way past, i wouldnt say its terrible, fifinshed the race, but the whole wheel has a nice wobble to it and just doesnt feel or look great in my opinion. I dont think anything else on the bike was affected other then the rim, but it is slightly buckled or lob sided now and even the main disc is now not running exactly straight through the pads from it.

Can this rim be fixed somehow? any chance of it being the same? Do i have to replace rim? Oh rims are alex xcr100d white light wheels if that makes a diff?

Shot guys :D

Nice real down to earth african experience, beats bikejacking stories hands down

Sounds like it's a lucky charm rim, I'd keep it just for superstition sakes.

haha not much diff you gonna see in a pic im afraid, as i said its not terribly bad, and just annoying that its now gonna set me back more when im not even getting to upgrade to anything in the process.. Before the race they warned us of a few small buck that might be around etc, but never said a word there might be 4 massive wildebeest charging up one of the most narrow section of single track..

Buddy of mine has two wildebeest on his farm. Hardcore bastards they are. Whilst he has awesome single track on the farm a person needs to stear clear of the two wildebeest, their job is to ensure that no cattle are stolen and they do a fine damn job of it. No tar baby will dare to enter that farm.
