Merida is renouned for their quality to price ratio. i.e. you are getting a quality bike for little money. I disagree with Hector about the fact that Shimano 105 is only good for 10-15 000kms.

 

Shimano 105 will out live most other groupsets, it is better quality than Sora and Tiagra and there is no sacrifice in terms of strength to make it lighter (as is the case with Ultegra and Dura Ace).

I agree. 105 is the Toyota Camry of road group sets.
