Best one I found for my HTC is something called GpsCycleComputer.

Doesnt do any uploading or anything. But I had a problem with sportypal to switch the screen off without the phone going into sleep mode and loosing the GPS.

This one has a nice layout on the screen if you want to strap it to your bars, but it is also just as happy in your pocket.

Battery life is also really good if you dont have any data connections and if you screen is off.

I would only charge it maybe once a week after using it every day.

 

But brands and programs are different so you will need to google something that works best for you.

heard about the iphone batt not coping well with endomondo

my BB used half of the 5 bars in teh batt on a 3:10 ride on saturday
