sram gripshift compatibility

Can sram gripshift work with shimano front derailers?

 

I know rear derailer must be sram but not sure of FD.

Yes and no.

Yes of course the sram gripshift will work with shimano FD and NO you dont HAVE to have a sram rear derailer.If you are running shimano and want to run gripshift just buy yourself a set of sram attack gripshift shifters.Specially made by sram to work with shimano derailers and not too expensive.

Otherwise look for Shimano Revo twist shifters to work with your Shimano rd.

Ja but the reason you want to use SRAM is because it works. So RD needs to be SRAM!! Shimano are trying, but still lot there yet!!!!!

It works like a bomb with XT front derailer.

Will then use xo rear and xt front!

Yes go boy, XT FD works better than most, no matter what leavers you use.
