I see the South Africans didnt dissapoint.

One finisher in the ladies, second from last.Under 23 got just as bad a hiding.

CSA needs to stop wasting their money and do some proper training and preperation. No need to keep sending these riders to get hammered day in and day out.

Hope the Elite guys do a bit better.

Analayser...... analyse this.

Your a complete fool. Another rare breed of clown with no obvious understanding of bike racing. Not only does your inclination to offer comments of this nature show complete ignorance as well as complete lack of any understanding of the level competition it also suggest that you as clearly have marked yourself a half wit capeable of slinging sh*te from behind your keyboard ignorant to the fact that you are unashamedly not an ANALYASER but a begrudger.

The South Africans preformed well given that they dont compete on this level week in week out. Peter Velits recently won a Pro Tour event outfoxing some of the biggest names in he sport. It is incomprehendable that a rider can lift their game to this level when week in week out. South African riders ride 100km fun rides, look at the distance 133km in the womens event and 177 in the mens

There is no point a pointing the finger at the riders. SACF must rectify the race situation for the top atheletes to preform at the highest level.

The average speed is faster in and 60km+ longer....

Look at Chris Froom, he rode a great race 21st I think, he has raced overseas for most of the year,

Carbon Freak, if you look at my post that is exactly what I have just said.

CSA need to restrategise before sending another lot of lambs to the slaughter. I fully agree that South African racing is not conducive to gaining results at world champs. That is the reason why I stated that CSA needs to pull their socks up and stop wasting money sending riders who are obviously going to be way out of their depth.

Perhaps you need to keep your trap shut before making stupid comments.

Maybe they did waste money...maybe the end result says they were not in he top 10.....

But this guys showed some guts....they made a race out of it, they tried to go for breaks. they just didn't sit in the bunch and hope they will finish the race.  They were not out of there depth as they were competitive during the race!!! Maybe you should follow whats going on in the race and not just check end results...yes- the end result is what we want to see....but they at least showed some promise.....these guys are still u/23 and have a long way to go....if they do this every year and SA cycling can pull up its socks over time....then maybe we will see a champ in years time.

But for punks like you.....who doesn't wanne sent our riders-You will never see a champ as you will always be the dumass Analyser that apparently knows best!!

Analyser I was comenting on your negative sentiment to the ladies and U23's rather than your indifference to the SACF. its easy to blame the SACF, but I would rather you make constructive criticism then point blank blame the system. Everyone needs to be accountable. SACF riders management. Dont shoot down people who give their time and effort to represent their country.

Seems to me your f**ked if you do hung draw and quatered if you dont.

I followed the race on cyclingnews and cycling.tv and for a SA rider (jacques janse van rensburg) to go into 90km break-away - and then his team mates being very active when the going got rough - and also the commenting of the peole on cycling.tv saying that the SA riders in the u23 are really active and wants a good result - I don't think they did not try!! infact - the SA under 23 riders received really good comments after the race - and also some possible future oppertunities. people tend to comment on things they know nothing about - shame. i still say that from jnr we need to get the riders to europe - and i also make it CSA's responsibility to make it happen - not just mine - but they are already running away from plans being put in place. Making me a bit gatvol.
