UPDATE, bikes were found after 2 days, in the airport where they should have always been.

 

how hard is it to find 2 big bike boxes

 

good thing they didnt get jacked

Actually, very difficult to find. If you knew the volume of cargo that moves in and out of JHB airport and the size of the airline warehousing system you would understand that two bike boxes can very easily get lost. One cargo 747 jet can bring in 100 tons or more of cargo, multiply that by 10 - 15 per day, plus all the other smaller jets bringing in and collecting cargo............plus cargo waiting on loading, palletised cargo, no, its an amazing system to see, personally I am surprised at how little gets lost or misplaced, but it happens, unfortunately, here, in the USA , in London, Germany, Paris you name it, cargo is lost daily, sometimes its never found, so yeah he was lucky.
