Hi guys.

I am a social cyclist amd motorcycle enduro racer. I am posting on the cycling forum because I know you guys are more clued up with nutrition than "we" are.

I am doing the Roof of Africa at the end of the month and I'm looking for some advice.

We race for up to and over 12 hours a day, and the biggest problems last year were recovery between days and nutrition..

I'm looking for advice on what to eat during the event?

I have been training on, peeled apples, dates, baananas and potatoe. I snack on these foods when I can during the ride.

At service points I will be drinking Endurashake by pace and power, and in my camelbak I am using cytopower.

at the end of each day I will use usn recover max.

IS there anything else I am missing out on? Are there any more foods that are good sources of energy to eat during the event?

Any more advice about nutrition or recovery is more than welcome.

Thanks

Maybe add some protein during the ride. Something like a protein bar or biltong.

DOn't know how practical it is, but you could also make a sandwich to take along.

As far as energy drink, me and a lot of guys can recommend 32GI. You can do a search on it here on thehub.
