Consensual sex under a certain age still amount to statutory rape. But, yes, the NPA are idiots! I have a friend who was a prosecutor until recently. You won't believe what goes on there.

And , I don't think she pressed charges. Uhm, rape=charges pressed. But what kind of person anyway have sex on a school sportsfield, during school hours? Huh

Apparently the tests conducted show that no drugs were used during the alleged rape. So if she lied about being drugged, it's possible she might be lying about other stuff too. Half the population are against the case not being prosecuted and the other half are against the NPA for prosecuting. What do people really want? Problem is that crime is what it is in this country largely because justice is notseen to be done. I do thnk though, that this is only because of media pressure. I believe that this sort of thing goes on all the time and nothing gets done about it. Why now, if not for media pressure?
