Had a top weekend in JHB,I know this sounds like a conctradiction!

Did the road and the MTB and body little tender.

I had an issue with my brake pads at the start of the mtb race and I needed some mechanical assistance.

Jozi people get a bad rep but I cannot believe how helpful fellow mtb riders were. I was up and running in no time!!

I am from KZN and it was my first race in Gauteng and I will be back!

To the guys that helped me if I remember correctly the one guys name was Troy. One word LEGEND!!!

I see in other threads people complaining about the route etc etc. I say thanks to the people JHB for a top weekend!!

Glad I was able to find you guys!! I always wondered who this Dangle chap was. If Troy is not on The Hub tell him he is now.

Cable tie worked like a dream and my front breaks were set better than the bike shop could. ;)

Thanks again guys!!

Shall we start the debate in respect of decency and helpfullness of MTB Riders vs Roadies ;)

I MTB and do road riding and there is definitly a different vibe.

Well my wife told me about the ex -Joburg roadie that helped her on Friday afternoon at the beachfront in Durban, for him to tell her that he cant find any roadies in Durban to ride with as they are all "clickey & have attitude" :o

Can't comment on the roadies but the MTBikers in KZN are really a decent bunch!!

Maybe tell your wife to trade the roadbike for a mtb. Will look out for it on the For Sale posts :)

The wife does MTB, as do I. She has just started so was getting in some training along the beachfront - She told the guy to swop his road bike for a MTB and that I could take him riding then. She also told him about the hub, so look out for a Rookie selling his road bike soon  Another convert

Hiya, Balsie

Hope that cable tie did the job

It was my mate Troy and myself who helped you, hope you had a great day.

It is always nice to read something positive. Good sportmanship, well done guys!
