Reg Lizard Posted October 9, 2007 Posted October 9, 2007 I have a 10spd Dura Ace front derailer on my bike. The problem is that it seems to make a loud "cluck" noise every now and then when I gear down from the big to the small blade.I also would like to know whether it is necessary to lube cables and with what (oil/grease if any).

ShortLegs Posted October 9, 2007 Posted October 9, 2007 Lizard, if you put it into the big blade as far as the left STI will allow and then gently push the return lever, you'll here the loud clunking sound. Repeat when looking at the front derailleur and you'll see it moves back a little bit. This is the micro-adjustment for when you're in a bigger sprocket at the back to stop chain rub.ShortLegs2007-10-09 04:53:09
