I want to lodge an formal objection against the rides being organised, and propose a moratorium be placed on ALL the Durbanville area rides until such time I return in the first week of January 2011. :D :P

You lucky you are on leave already and some of us (me) have some catching up to do to your fitness and strength levels :D

So anyone keen on doing the shorter loop?

Comeon.....

Ride to the route and then you will make up the lost mileage.

Also we do those wellington roads all year round.

Much more prefer exploring some new piece of road even if it is not in the route.

How many of you have ridden over malanshoogte down to the dairy and back?

Quite a nice climb from the dairy side.

I would even be more keen to add this in and take out the wellington loop.

We come across this road just before the main vissershok climb.

Anyone

I did the Malanshoogte to past the dairy, down to the gravel road and back twice on Saturday morning, the climb back up fromt he diary is a bit of a toughie, well at least I though so anyway, got my sigma percentage to 8% max on one part of that climb!

Supposed to be doing the longer route on Saturday, but I do tend to agree with you, even I have done the Wellingon route a few times and I am not a "racer". Still want to get int he full route, but maybe int hebeginning of the year. Gonna see how I feel closer to the time, have to contend with a couple of intervals over Malans tomorrow morning.

The bunch is now (see below) and there is growing preference for a 30% discount on the distance  :

Turn L at fruit seller 4 way stop and leave the 99er route.

Sheesh guys a 70km ride for a Saturday is not that great?! There won't be another chance to train the whole 99er distance as the Summer is packed with funrides, sometimes even two per weekend. I'll probably join you at 6am, but then do the whole 99er route on my own. If I feel fine I might even do another Wellington/Adderley loop of 40km. LSD.
