I did the Vori-Berg race on Saturday and was pleasantly surprised. It offers something of everything: nice climbs (not technical or too long), great single track descends, very limited jeep track and had some lekke technical injections here and there.

Overall a great mountain bike track.

I will definitely be back to do it again.

One request though: it would be great if this race could count towards seeding. I prefer this race to Babas (Babas just has way too little technical bits; its like a dusty road race).

O, and is very well marked. Can't miss the arrows, and probably the only race I've been on that has 3 "Danger, Slow Down" signs for an ALMOST technical bit. ...okay, some required extra care, but all were quite easily ridable.

Also enjoyed the race a lot, was lying 4th when I somehow missed a marker and did a 4km detour.....was my own mistake...

Lovely race!!

Great route with all variations of goodness. By the time I finished the first loop I was looking forward to do it all again for a second time, but faster.

Well done to the the event team. will the results be listed somewhere?

:D i think it is actually possible to die :P

Im not too worried about the technical stuff, im more killed by lots of long uphills :) will i feel a huge difference from 20km at Redstone to the 30 at vori?

Mix,

I dont think you will die,

You did the 20km at Redstone, you will definately finish the 30km at Vori-Berg.

The first 5km is uphill with decents in between. The elevation is +- 170m over this distance.

Look forward to welcoming you here for a most enjoyable day out on the bike and a cold one thereafter

Have a look at www.waterpoint.co.za for photo's and results of the previous races

Cheers

Im doing it and was going to the whole time unless someone scared me off,

im really looking forward to it. thanks for that now i cant wait! YES gonna get a bunch of mates to pull through.

I think we should do it as well.

Only problem is that we have a whole bunch of youngsters that are only starting off with cycling, and Redstone seems to have already scared some of them off.

Pezulu,

Well then it is time to reassure them by doing Vori-Berg, we also did Redstone as a first event with our daughters and had similar reponse from them.

I was brave and did the route with a trail a bike attached to my MTB, i finnished the race.
