Looking to upgrade wheels

Ok guys, like I explained a couple of weeks ago, Im fairly new to MTB's, and bought something with budget in mind. Now I wanna look at upgrading...

 

Question is, will these wheels fit my bike (I have a standard 2011 Merida Matts 100-D http://www.merida-bikes.com/en_za/bike/2011/190/MTB+Hardtail/MATTS+TFS+100-D). I dont know what they mean with the quick release standard.

 

ANd how do you rate them??? Also, whats the difference between 20mm front & QR front wheels?

I would think your bike has QR

 

I think Shimano XT wheels would be better. You can get them from CWC for R2999.00 (slightly cheaper on CRC but probably not worth the effort). Those wheels you are looking at weigh 2.1kg. XT weigh 1677g

And don't forget you will pay 15% VAT on those wheels from CRC

You can also try iCycling here on the Hub. He had the XT wheels for R2500 at one stage.

Ok, thx 4 the input - will look around a bit more and maybe get a nice set of someone on the hub...
