Well I apparently also ride like a moffie these days, and I have that helicopter tape on my downtube, but still get chips on the downtube (between my legs) and on the seat and chain stays stays.

The seat and chain stays seem to get hammered the most.

I also believe I look after my bike, but what do you do out on the rocky single track???? You gotta ride the thing.

Mr Min, the unscented one, works just as good, cheaper, dirt washes off easily and easy to apply. Dont get it on your rims braking surface or disks. Also do not get the Spring Country Garden or your bike will smell like a pansies bike. Get it of you are a pansy!!!!!!

nothing wrong with having a nice looking and nice smelling bike :P

i think its my weight that helps me..i ride a singletrack every weekend almost it has all kinds of terrain..(sandy loam, loost sand, dirt road, mud, and a rocky decent but u see i weigh 59 so i skip over the top..my tyres dont realy dig into the ground and shoot up stones..but on my downtube i got normal black installation tape and that seems to be working fine.. but i dont wash my bike with anything that could have a slight chance of scratching it..ie i first wash the dust off 2 times then made soapy water mix then gooi that on to loosten any other dirt...then wash very carefully with a soft sponge.(those yellow and green ones for the dishes but i only use the yellow side ) this might give you no help at all..:) but hey it works for me..

any btw if you have a black frame on your bike..put a strip of ducktape on the underneath side of your downtube there by your front wheel then you wnt get so much chips ... i dont ride like a moffie i just look after my bike even tho it costs less than a third of what most of you guys have..

Duct Tape - they used the stuff to seal off air conditioner ducts. Your type they use to seal the beaks of Egytian Geese that never stop making a noise!!!!!!!!

Just because it's a MTB, does not mean it must not shine, I use the Motorex spray and get the same results. Washing and poloishing my bike after a ride is like therapy.

They sell this kind of stuff in mall parking areas sometimes. I bought a bottle very reluctantly. It was just because the chick selling it was so hot. Took it home did my car, bike and bicycle, was so impressed I went back and got two more tins, the chick on duty then wasnt so hot but the product was.

I tried to get the same stuff in Game/Makro but no luck. Mine is almost finished. I bought 2 tins in a malls parking. My garden technician washes and polishes my superbike every week.

I am checking out their site now. Maybe I can get hold of some more. http://www.fastwax.com/

And this is the one http://www.fastwax.com/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=33

They say you can "wash" without water but I don't fancy the idea of scratching the paint. My superbike gets washed first even if it has just been standing in the garage all week.

I can't find an SA supplier. If anyone knows where to get then let me know. I haven't seen the guys at the garages/malls for a while.

I got my can at the the local Shell garage. No Shell don't sell it but there was a table and the people doing a demonstration. I had them do my whole car window before I bought it. They pop up every now and again at diferent garages and parking lots.

Pansy!!!!!!

"pansy" riders climb hills faster then "non-pansy" riders because "non-pantsy" riders have too much air in their head and 40 waterbottles and 30 bombs and 4 spare tubes and the pansy riders just have their mr min and that protects them from all the elements..

ye i know ths makes no sence
