Hey RodTiThat looks neat for sure. You will still need shorter bolts, but they are available. The only issue here, is that if you are running a rear hub with fixed sprocket position, you will have to check that shifting the chainring outboard on the crank does not adversely affect you chain line. It all depends on the frame.

What - you're a mind reader now as well?

See below... :P

Thanks Whistler - just had a bit of email banter with Jerrard over at Singlespeed.co.za...He has advised that I look at replacing the middle ring, since replacing the outside/big ring will move my chain alignment slightly off - which can put undue stress on the hub (as in my rear wheel, not this Hub :P)...Considering that I am a big boy - and my wheels are, shall we say, old-skool - I'd rather not take any chances...

Yes, I agree on the chain line. Rather make sure.

Mine is sort of inline...

I think I used less spacers on the BB, to get the blade

closer to the frame to straighten the chainline.

Something like that.

PS. Never use an old (worn) 9sp chain. Lesson learnt.

What are singlespeed.co.za charging for the blackspire ring?

Reasonable enough to see me going with them, rather than CRC! :)

Just hope they get stock in soon!

If you can't get shorter chainring bolts, you can use hanger bolts.

Thanks TW - sorting out some naaice blue bolts through the Singleseed chaps!
