I am doing the epic for the 1st time this year and very unfamiiar to cape weatehr and need to bring a sleeping bag (amongst many other things) - I was wondering what tempreture I need to cater for. I got a sleeping bag for Xmas and its range is +5deg, is this sufficient?

YIP more than good enough...you will more than likely sleep under it due to the temp.

so it doesnt get to cold at night at that time of the year? I assume one descent jersey is all that is really required in the event that it get a bit nippy?

No need 4 one. Too hot. I used a duvet cover. Also saved a lot of space.

If you do want to take one, + 5 will be good, but buy a hiking one - very small too. A normal "camping" sleeping bag will be way too bulky
