Entry level Roadbike

You may remember I considered building a bike but doesnt seem viable to me, thus I;ve been looking at whats available and these bike from Felt have caught my eye.

 

I love the F75 but may be a bit expensive, so the F85 seems to provide good value with mostly 105 parts for Just over R8K. Then the F95 if I can't get the funds for the other bikes.

 

What do you guys think ? Any bikes I've missed ? I've compared these to allot of bikes but they seem to offer better value to me.

Go Look for a Raleigh RC 6000. And yes, i did just say Raleigh. eeek

Daniel - they dont make those no more, new model called "Blade" but really crappy and cheap(entry level models), not value like previous years IMO.

 

Raptor, waiting for prices from lbs, stock not in SA yet AFIK.

Hey WW where can you get the F85 for that price I have a mate thats in that market?

you can have a look at the trek ans scott entry level bikes pretty much the same spec and price as the felts

DOnt know the specific price, its over 8k but under 9K, either 8,4 or 8,7k.

Should be same price at felt dealers.

 

They are not importing the F95 or F75 so I guess I'll have to adapt my search.

 

Also keen on a merida race 901 for 6,5K but need to fit STI's, got funny shifters.

Trek value for money is really bad, Scott is OK but not the best value, gues the frames are better but i'm not upgrading a frame like this so no point there.

Scott hardtails are good value though - 26k full xt bike weighs 9,7kg stock
