KS Seatposts

patches

Recommended Posts

I'm wanting to put a dropper seatpost on my AM/FR bike.

Problem is it's a 27.2 diameter so a Crank Brothers Joplin won't fit. (Plus I've heard they're high maintenance, and develop some horizontal play after a while).

Only KS and Gravity Dropper offer a 27.2mm post.

So... I've been looking at the KS i7-R Seatpost.

The KS one more aesthetically pleasing, and from what I've heard/read in UK mags the KS dropper posts are top notch (Brian Lopes uses one on his AM rig).

Problem is... where do I get one?

Anyone know of an importer/distributer that does KS products?

ooh awesome! thanks!

All the LBSes I've tried in JHB (except for one) give me a blank stare when I mention KS seatposts. Funny, cos in the UK and Europe they're very highly rated.

Hi,

International Trading are the distributors of KS seatposts. Their no. is 011 486 0060. You have to go through your LBS to get the seatpost. Phone them and ask which LBS they deal with in your area. Most LBS deal with them as they distribute other brands as well.

I just got my new remote lever from them through my LBS. I am in Durban.

Hope that helps.

R1942 Ex Vat for the KS i7 with remote.

Not bad considering that the Gravity Dropper 27.2mm 4" drop with remote goes for R2020 on CRC before any shipping and VAT.

And looks wise you can't compare.

...although I guess looks aren't everything... but yeah... the KS posts get brilliant reviews

how much did you pay for it, Moto-moto-moto?

Mushroom mushroom!

Howzit,

My bike came with the seatpost(Mongoose Teocali). I have replaced the remote lever as the original broke. Would not swap it for anything! All bikes should come standard

check out www.pure-race.com or www.kssuspension.com for the full range.

They offer up to 5" travel for their larger diameter posts (and those don't need the piggy-back reservoir).

But yeah, as moto-moto stated, International Trading are the local importers (and no... sadly these beauties aren't available on CRC... I looked there first, hahaha)

I use my friends all the time on Tokai. Saddle up for uphill, middle for a few tech sections and down when bombing downhill. It really helps the flow of the ride . When he first got his i thought yea what a waste of money till I rode with it. Would rather spend my cash on the post as that is one item that has really improved the ride.
