RIP Cateye - What MTB Computer thingy?

So after the 3rd wash & tumbledry my cateye enduro 8 is no more. Must say it held up quite nicely given the harsh conditions 

 

I'm thinking maybe there's something better to use? Maybe something that I can't take off the bike?

 

Any suggestions (Sub R500) ?

 

Edit: Or should I try some more time in the tumbledryer?

Sigma 1200. About R150-175 and it can be mounted on your stem to clear some space on handlebars. Sorry, don't know if the Cateye could do that.

 

You could get the top of the range Sigma with a second bike kit. This way you have one computer for 2 bikes and when you move between bikes it automatically pics up on which bike it is mounted.
