I will go for XT, XTR is just lighter and really does not last as long as an XT, I have tried both. I also like the Sram PC991 Cross Step chain very strong and lasts long

The cheaper the better, you should be replacing your MTB chain every 1000-1500km MAX, this will insure that your cassette and chainrings last much longer.

I'm with big j-wp,I replace chain every 900km,it's a chain a month, but I use the cheapest chains available.SRAM is my choise of chains!

At www.chainreactioncycles.com as following:-

XTR 3 pack ZAR 292.84 each if you buy three (Shipping VAT and 10% on Vat included)

XT 3 pack ZAR 247.27 each if you buy three pack (Shipping VAT and 10% on Vat included)

If you buy other goodies like cassettes, chainrings, disk pads, lubricant, tools ets and you exceed ZAR 3000.00 in your order the shipping falls away and the chains are then as following:-

XTR 3 pack ZAR 196.24 each (Vat and 10% on Vat not included here)

XT 3 pack ZAR 156.90 each (Vat and 10% on Vat not included here)

Makes sense to order from them does it not???????

XT chain cassette and crank, waye over 5000km on it, no worries

drive-train has always only seen Rock n Roll

its wen you start clogging up your stuff with wax, that things dont last.
