Ok, how’s this for a special:

The Polar RS800CX Pro (this includes all the bike pods, the S3 running pod and the GPS - about 6 G's local price)

At Bike in they are approx R3920 BUT if we take two (2) the price comes down to about R2940 / set! With DHL it is R6400 for the two (R3200/watch!)

Is there someone that wants in on this? I definitely am going to buy myself one, but if I find one more person that wants in, we can save close to a grand each! (Remember that we still need to pay duties this side, so the final price will be around R7200 for the two watches, approx. R3600 per watch.

WHO IS IN WITH ME? (I live in Heidelberg Gauteng, it will be a plus if you also live in Gauteng)

Bought via C/Card.

Excellent Service. Took DHL option. 3 days to my Door.

Based in Spain, so small language barrier, but otherwise great.

They also want me to do the same. (use credit card) I prefer paypal because it is much safer. They claim that they are Paypal enabled, but fail to complete the transaction.

With the massive online fraud nowadays, I am very careful to use my credit card online.

How does tax/duty/VAT work with them?

You pay the VAT and handling fees to the delivery man.

multiply your total amount by 0.16 and you'll have an idea of how much cash to have ready...

If I remember correctly, DHL phoned me on day 2 and told me that I'll need to have my R300 ready when they deliver...

With Paypal you pay 3.9% of the total amount. A reasonable price for "peace of mind" You can dispute a transaction if you dont receive your goods or if it is defective. This keeps the "seller" very responsible. I have never had any problems when buying using Paypal.

Last 2 times that I received (electronic) goods from overseas, I did not pay any extra amount. I am talking under correction, but thinks that there are no duties on electronics.

You can be sure of this company. They have an excellent international reputation. I have purchased from their other site, scubastore.com.

They are a Spanish site, but their customer support staff are all very well versed in English. If you want to purchase via paypal, but have problems getting the order through - get in touch with their customer services dept - they will guide you through from start to finish. They helped me really well.

I also ordered via the DHL route. The van arrived at my house 3 days later. Just remember to have cash on hand because you have to pay the DHL guy his share before he will hand over your stock.

Just received my Polar RS800CX from Bike Inn and what a pleasure. 3 days to be delivered. Fantastic services from then and DHL. Saved about R500

Exactly what I am buying.... Did you have to pay any import duties / tax on it?

Yes about R580 - duties and VAT. You contact DHL and they give you the amount and banking details, email them proof and they deliver same day, depending on the time of payment.
