Was a damn tough ride, the mud was insane, I think I'm in for a new drive train  . My pedal body came off the spindle at the 45km mark which made the 2nd half of the race quite interesting, had to keep constant pressure on the crank arm to keep the pedal body on. Eventually finished in a 6h15m

What a mission!!! Was a great ride though, loved every bit of it and thoroughly enjoyed the route and even the mud & rain. Battled with my recurring knee problems which started recurring after 30km's and I had to stop about every 10mins after that to stretch...Mud and clay was hectic, clogged 3 times to the point where the wheels couldn't turn from all the mud. Loved the potatoes & mieliebrood at the waterpoints.Limped over the finishline at about 7hrs...Will definately ride again

Really tough, I think the conditions added about an hour ride time. Managed to win the race with Spaso9 in about 4h40. Loved the wolf sanctuary, I started howling as I rode through and they all joined in!

Eish! The mud and the thin air made for an interesting race.Managed to negotiate the mud the whole day,but for the last big mud hole about 500 m from the end where I managed to buy a piece of prime Reitz real estate. :cursing:

Hope when we pass there in April it will be DRY!!!!!!!!!!
