Sign-Up Cycling Etc. Safe Cycling Campaign

Recommended Posts

OK Guys, I have been in contact with Shaun at Sign-Up and I have been able to set up an SMS donation number for him through Cycling ETC.

SMS donate cyclingetc to 33003 to contribute R30

http://www.cyclingetc.co.za will have more details soon for larger donations or corporate donations. They are in the process of creating a link that will be offered to cycle club websites and online stores etc for anyone that really does want to help making cycling safer.

I have also arranged to have a banner printed for Shaun @ Sign-Up who will have a both at the 94.7 Expo this week.

Support Shaun as he is actually doing something to make our rides safer and has put a heck of a lot of effort into this. An article about Sign-Up is in the current issue of Bicycling.

How is the bank account details doing. I cannot SMS from her!!!!!! I still need to pay for one sign that will be erected on Moloto road as penance that the Bulls were cheated out of the Currie Cup.

It has now been proven that Hougaartds last kick to goal was over and that the ref and the flagmen cheated.

OK, we have sorted the bug.

To make a donation of R30 sms 'donatecyclingetc' to 42266

The following is still in the process of being setup. In other words, NOT WORKING YET. Will advise as soon as its up & running.

I have also set up another SMS, called an electronic wallet (cutting edge technology) where the amount donated can be specified by the user.  This is currently being set up, but the EFT testing will only be complete by early next week.  It is however a nice option to have as the networks don?t take almost half the revenue.  The wording is:<?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

To donate an amount of your choice, SMS donatecyclingetc to 33003.

And thirdly, we are busy setting up e-commerce facilities on the www.cyclingetc.co.za website, whereby users can make donations via credit card (and as soon as it?s available from the switching companies, via EFT?s too).

PLEASE REMEMBER THAT ONLY THE R30 DONATION SMS IS CURRENTLY OPERATIONAL. tHE OTHER 2 TECHNOLOGIES WILL BE AVAILABLE SHORTLY.

THANKS ONCE AGAIN TO KIWI & CO FOR SETTING THIS UP!!!!!

Shaun I cannot and will not take the risk of using my creditcard on the Internet in Lagos. I can only pay directly into a bank account and that sign is haunting me at night!!!!!!!

Thanks for the reminder BIG h. I also need to pay for a sign seeing that Natal were so busy bringing the World Cup home they couldn't do the Currie Cup at the same time!!  Do you want me to pay for both signs from this side and then you can deposit the money into my bank account?

Shaun/Kiwi, please confirm the revenue share on the R30 SMS.

My understanding is that of the R30, R15 will go to the network, then the remainder will be shared between the WASP & "client". Would be such a waste if the networks end up getting more than the Sign-up campaign.

Hi Lurker, I haven't got exact figures but I think you are right. Check Shauns post about the online system, it's not running yet (hopefully early next week) which will mean all money goes to Sign-Up. Pitty we couldn't get a network to help?
