You can still build it into a V-brake rim. You will just have to try and cut some weight off your weenie someplace else.

You can already get one for v-brakes

which one Jason? the normal SL? Will the water not go in there? I thought the Mtb version don't have the Carbon shell for a reason?

Marius, I'm just going by what they say on the website. They say the SL is available in the wider width to fit in a MTB frame.

 

No idea about how durable it would be. I agree that this is probably a major problem.
