Hi Grebel,

I'm the official distributor for Weeride in SA - www.weeride.co.za our stock includes longer hex head bolts for the bigger head sets. You can order directly from us, buycycle.co.za or there is stock in Cycle lab, Cajees and a few other bike stores. My partner is based in Durban - you can drop him a mail tyrone@weeride.co.za if you need more info.

Great - I told him that you'll be in touch.

@ Lethaldose.

Apologies for the delay - I missed this reply. I'll match the price, secondly there is no warranty on the product if you order through Take 2. As the official distributors - we offer a two year warranty on the product.

Sorry Grant, but with CPA Take2 has to offer at least a 6 month warranty and if the item on display is not what you ordered, then Take2 has to refund or exchange you - I would say as a distributor you should first get yourself up to date with the CPA.

Guys, keep in mind that with the Take2 Amazon Portal, Take2 are acting as agents/proxy for Amazon and are still answerable to the CPA.

I will say as a regular client of Take2 Amazon Portal the only issue I have is the waiting period (6-8 weeks). With the amount of fun my kids (yes littlest Hubber is now 7mths and she so loves the Giant Baby Seat) I would say that you need to ask yourself if the wait is worth the cash saving.

The only regret I and my wife have ever had about buying the Giant Child Seat was that it took me so long to do it. Little Hubber missed out a lot.

Now that leaves a bitter taste in my mouth!! I spoke to Tyrone who is the Durban distributor and his response was and I quote

"Hi.

Firstly thanks for showing interest in our product. Take 2 is not a licensed retailer of our product. Grant and I have the sole distribution rights for Weeride in SA so you might battle with take 2.

Our product retails for R1400 but I would be happy to sell you a unit for R1200 excl vat. I am based in Durban so you could get the unit immediately.

Hope this helps

The quoted price was R531 more than the price on Take2 (R837). Needless to say, weighing up my options, I chose to save the money, forgo the warranty, wait three weeks and get the unit delivered to my door. Had I known that you would match the price I would have bought local!!

Anyway, after all is said and done, my son is very happy with the Weeride and I would recommend it to anybody that is looking for that type or seat. Pity you didn't reply sooner.

This question is relevant to this thread: What helmet is best for littlest Hubbers?

In the States you cannot buy a helmet with an age rating below 1yrs as they United Nanny States believe all Dutch are evil as a toddler is not suppose to be on a bike?

As a parent I say its up to each one of use to decide when is the right time.

So back to the question, which helmet? I currently got a Serfas for little Hubber (2-4yrs) but its too big for his littlest sister (7mths).

I also liked the idea from another Hubber of using one of those pram umbrellas that are sourced from China Shops. Need to get one.

Hi Chris,

I just had the problem. My youngster is 18 months and they grow so quickly that I was worried about a helmet. I bought a small lid from Mr Price sports but it was too big. I ended up buying a Raleigh from Game that is a bit big but in a few weeks it will fit and in a few more weeks it will probably be too small!! The Raleigh ones seem to be the smallest available that I could find anywhere.

We ride in a local park (very safe) so the helmet is more for the sun and the sudden bumps when I hit something.

Grebel - My apologies, I understand your frustration. We recently made the decision to match the offer for the last few units we have in stock, so we can bring in the full range. Thank you for the positive feedback - I'm pleased to hear that you're happy with the product!

No Worries. These things happen. It would have been worse if I had bought it from Tyrone at R1400 and then found out you will match the Take2 price!!!! It looks like a solid product so I don't see any problems with it.

You right, it's really solid and there shouldn't be any problems. But if there are any issues, I'll be happy to assist.

Hey Grebel

You got it?

I got my boy one of these: http://www.amazon.com/Giro-Me2-Infant-Bike-Helmet/dp/B000FABD0G, in blue of course!

Howzit Chubba!

Got it a few weeks ago and he LOVES it! The unfortunate thing is that I can't see his face when we are riding but my wife says it is something to behold!! Thanks again for the pics you sent me. That helmet looks similar in construction to the Raleigh one. I am getting my son used to wearing it now. I play with him inside and make him wear it. At least he doesn't just take it off straight away now!! He has even started asking me for it!
