If you can erase day 2 out of every bodies memory, it was great for a first try and must have been a logistical nightmare for the organisers. At least it happened. The cities and towns in SA will all want to apply to be on the route next year, if you saw how much free marketing was given to the towns this yr.

Lets put the failures behind us, and focus on the mileage SA cycling got out of it.!!

Yeah. I must agree. It took big cajones for CellC to sponsor this event. I hope they stay on board for next year so it has some stability in planning it did not have this year.

Arran Brown and Co is gaining good experience in racing with some other pros... Those sprints finishes are not so easy with an international presence.

 

Really really good for the development of local racing.

Loved it, got to see behind the scenes, met Phil and saw what is involved with servicing and logistics of day to day racing. It was really an awesome experience and I would love to see them come back and make it a better race next year. To the guys that missed it, I hope we all get to see the Tour next year and see a lot more support for our local cycling.

Phil Ligget is truly phenomenal.

He loves SA and, I heard, he owns some property here.

 

Great move to have him commentate.

It raises the status and quality of the TSA.
