If its a western flyer, mine was stolen about 30 years ago, on the seat tube I think you will find the serial no: UE80-0906 ....I still miss my 'real' first bike..LOL,good luck with your project.

living in south africa has it challenges and as a so called colered male me and my buddies- ( non on the hub ) lived and still do acasionally by the following code: A Boer maak a Plan... A Darkie vok it op... Maar ons Gam ,ons maak majic... we must have a sense of humor guys, yes sometimes we mess with each other but at the end of the day we are all human and we must accept each other and learn live with each other , if not for us , let us do it for the kids...

I say ride the bike , if it feels right then its right, this with the fittings and what the LBS has to say is a load of BS ...IMO, I am 1.76 and ride a bike with a 58 cm top tube, its seat tube is 61cm, never felt more comfortable on a bike , no aches pains and all the other BS that everybody warned me about..LBS said my hot feet pain was due to the large frame..more BS... The shoe was to narrow, bought a broader shoe , problem solved....just my BS , use it dont use it...

and cheaper cos of the strong rand...cool
