During the week mornings two days Klapperkop intervals and two days Delmas road lap plus minus 60km lap and Monday rest day, weekends long rides 90 to 120km MTB rides

Hi I am training for the 2012 Cape Epic and my partner stays in Polowane so I am riding by myself. Is there any other guys that want to ride in the mornings from 5-7 am, that stay in the Pta East area? I stay close to Elarduspark, Rietvalleyrand area

I would just like to thank the person who gave me his chainbraker multi tool on the start of Smitswinkel clime. I started in the G-group and when we got to Smitswinkel my derailleur hanger snapped of and my rear derailleur went into my spokes and broke the rear derailleur. One of the cyclists that passed me asked me if I needed a chainbraker and he threw his tool to me. I then proceeded by removing all the cabling and parts that was not working any more. I then shortened the chain to make my bike a single speed with a gear ratio of 14(at the back) and 39 (in front), as the chain were now shortened I could not use the 53 front blade so now I had to pedal up Smitswinkel, Small Chappys, Chappys and Suikerbossie by standing on all the climbs. Downhill’s I could only free and on the flats my top speed were 39kph. I did finish my 14th Argus this year with the help of the person who gave me his chainbraker, I would like to return his multi tool to him so if any of you know this person let me contact me. Hagar daar is so baie lekker MTB roetes in daardie area om te ry julle ouens is lekker luckey. Ons was twee weke trug vir n lang naweek in Hondeklipbaai en omgewing en daar is so baie nice plekke om te ry. Ek dink ek gaan vogende keer met my MTB die blomme kyk en nie met n voertuig ry nie. Ek wonder of n mens nie n blomme toer kan reel nie wat mens met fietse ry, amper iets soos die "Epick" maar dis sommer n blomme toer gekombieneer.

Dit lyk vir my of die kamera tog so paar kg'pies by sit. Ek is maar bly ek is nie n seleb nie maak nie saak waar jy is of hoe jy lyk nie iemand gaan van jou n foto neem.

Phil made a lot of mistakes every day but like you say we are not perfect, but we still like old Philly!

It is a pitty that such a nice guy had to die at such young and tender age.I wonder what would have happend if he had a medical aid and could have the operation done and stayed for full recovery in the Hospital.My condolences to his family, friends and his team mates he realy was ambasador for the sport and a good exsample for the younger riders and he will be remember by all.

Wel done Robbie you have put S.A. cycling on the map and you have opened the door for all the up and coming S.A. cyclist. Your future looks green, sprinters green.
