  1. LOL, I tried www.kremetertcycling.co.za. Now I know we used to talk about "Cream tart", but this one won't get you anywhere...
  2. But, did you know how to turn on your back and float when falling into the swimming pool at 18 months old? Or turn around and grab the side if close enough. That's why kids take swimming lessons these days. I once saw a kid fall into a pool and he was going nowhere, except down. So that's enough reason to take the kids for swimming lessons.
  3. You can almost say I have experienced a bit of both worlds. Previously hubby was a very keen cyclist. I went to most of the races with him, even with our son (since shortly after birth). I even got involved with managing his team a little bit in the form of doing support. I loved doing it "with" him, even though getting up so early really sucked. Over weekends his training took a lot of time, but I kept myself busy with stuff that I could do on my own. I had a problem with some (unnecessary) expenses, but I kept telling myself it's his money and usually didn't say anything about it. He now has basically retired from cycling and I love the fact that we can go for breakfast together at the Irene mall on a Sunday. I like the fact that I have the option of leaving our son with him on a Saturday if I have to go for a long appointment at the hair dresser. I love the fact that he spends more time with our son. Basically, what I want to say is, the wife determines how the husband's cycling affects her.
  4. When doing support for a team, the supporter vehicles often go between the support vehicle(s) and the bunch. It then becomes difficult to stay with the guys who might need a quick wheel change. It also happened in the past that a break got away and support vehicles couldn't follow because the supporters didn't overtake the chase bunch. Quite stressful for an overstressed person like me. I say have the supporters there, but lay down some rules AND make sure those rules are obeyed.
  5. An enema might get rid of cr@p like this... Please, one guy tested positive and that's it. And get over it now. My only rant and rave about the topic, so please take note.
  6. Don't know which one Christie has and how much he paid, but he loves his Parktool stand.
  7. I got this number from somewhere. It's specific for reporting things like this. I haven't used it (yet) though. (011)643 2958 Let me know if it was useful.
  8. I also witnessed this and yes, that was one fast wheel! Luckily for me I kept to the speed limit (would have been next to the car if I hadn't) and the wheel missed my car. Just my luck.
  9. I saw this one in Maastricht. Fur on the dashboard!Rakker2008-07-16 01:05:15
  10. Let's see how long it will take them to fix it...
  11. I read in the latest Record about an uncovered "bandits' nest", I think on the corner of Garsfontein and Hans Strydom, where they also found copper cables. Unfortunately they didn't catch the guys (yet). I found these numbers on the Metro's website if you want to report it, Saffa G: (012) 358 6667/6690/6606. Rakker2008-06-30 02:53:32
  12. Do you know which song goes round and round in my head after getting out of bed in the morning? My bloody alarm clock jingle. And it stays there until I put the radio on.
