  1. I must admit, I was quite offended by people using our drop in for a spectator point....
  2. We're getting close to finishing the DJ's at the bike park. Look how sweet this trail is starting to look.
  3. I have really thin knees...
  4. Have a look at this.... http://www.singletrackworld.com/2009/06/riding-the-ridge-inches-from-disaster/
  5. Er, yes you do. It's called slopestyle. Red Bull Ride; Crankworks; Bearclaw Invitaional; Nissan Qashquai; etc etc
  6. Just a lil scratch on the pinkie... for now
  7. At least I have my own little private section. I get some curious visitors, but pretty much I get lots of room. BONUS... K-Dee, Geoff would be mucho happy if you were to assist by keeping people (and kids) in check. i.e. Tell them that it's one way on the BMX track, chat to the parents etc. He has asked me to help out too.
  8. I'm sure that's it...
  9. har har har, Hog's playing XC. Oi, Summit, when you getting a spesh P3 and coming for a HUB ride at the bike park? We're prepping the trails for you...
  10. Won't be worth anything to diss any clubs, but when corporate sponsors are involved, it's all about getting bodies in the kit. Lets just say I opted out and went back to basics. A couple of mates, pooled resources and we licence ourselves, get our own kit how and when we want and make our own rules. Our kit is not any more expensive than the clubs. Less is more I say...
  11. Wanna fit in huh... I was a member of one of the big 2. It;s more about the sponsors than about the riders... I don't want to be one of the crowd... Use it, don't use it...
  12. If the item is duty free, then you will pay an effective 15,4% VAT, however if the item has duty, then that VAT effective % will increase. The classification of goods in the HS tariff is not always clear-cut. For example, there are codes which are specific to items and the classification is clear and there are codes which are more general in nature. I would think that the plastic pegs would be classified as parts of bicycles under the Chapter 87 code, but they may also be seen as articles of plastic not elsewhere specified or included which would make them claddifiable within the scope of heading 3926.90 (which if I recall correctly has a 20% duty liability.) The poeskantoor does sometimes charge an "admin fee" but it's usually only about R20 or so. Good luck...
  13. I like to pin it, so I'm with Bust the Sickness on this one. I always yield for the descender. a sweet flowing singletrrack descent is the holey grail for MTBers. Why would you want to spoil that for anyone.
  14. And Bryce is a sharp dirt jumper too
  15. Is it just me that wonders how a seemingly self professed experienced rider may get startled by a rider coming from the front on the Spruit in Delta Park where you can almost always see upto 50m in front of you? And Mr (who's the dude I had the argy bargy with (Mint Sauce I think)) remember that "singletrack" in Joburg means practically a dirt road and very seldomly a hiking trail 30 - 50cm wide. Use it, don't use it.
  16. No need to, it seems that you have that covered...
