  1. Not sick but in bed on my back for 2 days now. Only position that's vaguely comfortable. Sciatic nerve pain in my butt and leg is driving me up the wall. Don't see myself cycling for a while.
  2. +1 for wider rims, especially to take advantahe of all these nice wide tyres that are available nowadays. An expensive upgrade to do on a current ride. But a shame on any bike manufacturer that still specs new "trail" bikes with 19mm rims.
  3. I can't comment on your options there, but am very happy after 4 months (guess 800kms...) of Spez Purgatory in front and Ground Control at the rear. Both 2.3, control casing and no problems yet. 90% of time riding in Jonkershoek. The GC does weep sealant through the sidewalls, not as bad as previous Continental though. That one was a threat to cleanliness.
  4. I don't road-bike, at all, but this makes me want to get on and pedal.
  5. These guys have some sharp ideas going there. I am intrigued by the 47tooth sprocket at the end of the second video. Could be a great upgrade to make all these Shimano 11-42 cassettes really functional.
  6. That's one contented looking dog. Glad she's better.
  7. According to my phone's Strava log, total climb was 1033m, total distance 73.4km (didn't cut corners).
  8. For those that are curious about the actual wind speeds, this website shows recent and current weather recordings from various instruments around the peninsula. http://www.windreport.co.za/wr_capepoint.shtml
  9. Hi, new to posting here on the hub. Been riding for several years, MTB only as I live slap bang in the middle of SA's great MTB spots, Jonkershoek. Been enjoying thehub for a while as a casual visitor.
