  3. I agree totally but im looking at price point mostly at this point beggars canbt be choosers and anything i can get my hands on will have to do
  4. Not bad pricing, shipping is more than the fork it self I can get surly at a better price but only in the new year as they dont ship over the holiday season
  5. Looks like everyone is after a fork Im on the hunt for a rigid 26" straight steerer with disk mounts At this point in time im not bothered what the material is, just want to finish this build Cheers
  6. Rietvlei management has taken over, whether or not they are going to be maintaining it remains to be seen
  7. On saturday i saw a similar problem There is one massive branch covering part of the blue route, not to mention the energy bar wrappers and chip packets
  8. A quick dash around the back of bells inn to rietvlei and back Rather wet and the Klipriver was flowing nicely
  9. The problem wasn't the pace but rather the direction, everyone knows its clockwise.
  10. On saturday two loops of mixed green and blue routes at the vlei On the final loop going through the turns in the reeds i had to make a sudden stop for one of the locals. Snapped a quick pic and let him be
  11. To the top of a koppie, northern side of walkerville Too many rocks to really enjoy, no paths either so there was quite a lot of walking and static falls
  12. I never know with you dudes. Lol Shocks look pretty dialed I'm hahahahahahah
  13. This is a joke.......right?
  14. So I had a slight spill yesterday and cracked the calliper and bent the brake disk. The Brakes are Shimano cable disks and its on a cheapo Giant Thermo 1 (Which has served me well) What is the cheapest fix for this? Should I order a new caliper and disk? Should I get the disk straightened (Not likely viable) Should I repair the calliper or just look out for some Hydraulics? Now the only problem I can see with changing to hydro is the fact that I have dual levers (Deore I think??) that means I will have to swop out the gear and brake levers for separate units……. Now I know I will get responses like save and upgrade the bike and better components, that is in the pipeline not right now. So all I want to do is get this sorted in the most reliable way possible. Any suggestions? Any and all welcome TIA
  15. I was thinking that. why not save and then buy beter, but where do i draw the line? Seeing as these bikes are on special wont i be buying a similar spec'd bike if a save? Or do i buy what i can but upgrade components as i am able to do so? Or does this work out too eexpensive? Excuse all the questions but this is the best way of finding out before i take the plunge.
  16. I'm leaning towards the Bianchi even though its an older model. I'm not looking at spending much more than R2500. I know its a tight budget but that's what I can spend at this point.
  17. seeing as my post in the wanted section didn't get too many replies ill be looking to buy a new/newer mtb. At this point I'm torn between the Bianchi doss 4600 and the nomad 80. Now I know the Bianchi is a better bike but the Nomad has better specs and I think its a newer model. I got fitted and I need to look for a 18" or 19" . Solomans has stock on both units. Comments and suggestions are welcome. TIA
