  7. Has anyone had issue with the F3 losing distance traveled during an activity? this has now happened on 3 separate occasions, either during a long trail run or an OCR event. The map shows the route traveled but not the pace or distance. Highly frustrating trying to track progress or mileage on my gear.
  8. Entry level 2016
  9. Could Omnico keep up with that volume?
  10. Let's get the tender going, In all honesty though, even though the spec is not great its still a 3rd of the price. What would it cost to get it as close to what it should be?
  11. I wonder if Omnico have anything to say regarding the disparity in pricing?
  12. Was just thinking the same thing.
  13. At that price it would be a perfect replacement for my commuter. Let's see if this materializes
  14. Not sure how legit this website is but... https://epicsportsonline.co.za/product/cannondale-trail-5/ There is no way makro could be flogging these at R4500. Maybe they strip all the decent components off at only allow online purchases so that you are unable to inspect the condition.
  15. Me too, almost every day. Garmin 3HR
  16. First ss build, all parts sourced from the hub/rapide. Running 36/18. Need to find a brake bleed kit as the fluid needs a flush. Will also like to swop the xtr crank for some equivalent slx Will be using this for a commute between Rosebank and Melrose arch

  19. Did a quick search to see what the fuss is about check the "price" http://www.amazon.com/Shimano-NX01-Single-Speed-Chain/dp/B006HPX1GC almost swallowed my glasses,
  20. Blue and green route at Ritevlei yesterday, seems the river crossings section is closed off atm, maintenance or summing. Then this morning Thaba green route. Man that climbing is no joke in the heat, and running out of water with 5kms to go is a recipe for failure. Had a leke chat to Wendel at the shop after, what a humble dude
  21. Sweet, looks well worn Where about are you in JHB, that pub looks familiar
  22. More on the bike? looks interesting

  24. Holy thread resurection
  25. Having owned and ridden both, Here are my opinions HT - Climbing is better, loose rocky, sandy, gravelly terrain. I was able to keep traction 90% of the time. I felt more efficient on the HT, obviously due to not having any rider induced bobbing. Long distances were not great. Fatigue was an issue with anything over 40kms (When i was fit) DS - I cannot for the life of me hold momentum up a hill in the same conditions, this could be attributed to many things such as suspension setup, tyre pressures etc. Technically i feel 100% more comfortable on the ds, tight slow sections or faster downhill sections. Longer distances i am able to get off the bike without feeling like i have been hit by a bus, or punched in the kidneys by a professional boxer. On longer hardpack sections i lock out both back and front to cure bob and transfer energy into going forward. Overall my preference is the DS as i enjoy the ride more, which is what counts. My advice, is to ride both types. make a decision based on which one you enjoy more. As stipulated these are MY opinions based on my own experience, results may vary and batteries are sold separately
