Hi all. Trying my luck here... I am looking to borrow a 3/4 bicycle towbar fitted bike rack where the bikes stand upright. I have 4 Thule ProRide 591's which you can use in the meantime. Trying to avoid taking 4 bulky bikes on my roof all the way to uniondale. I am based in Cape Town. Should anything happen to the rack I will buy you a new one. Dont mind giving you the money wheñ I borrow the rack then you give it back when I return it?.

Bike recovered. It was stolen. It is not an accusation, just common sense.

I visit them almost daily and good bikes just about never come up.

It is a scam! Gor a mate to go to his "house" and guess what, nobody there was selling a bike.

This bike must be stolen. Arrived at cash crusaders yesterday and they cant sell for a week due to "police clearance" Bike has wireless computer sensor but no screen. I was in a hurry so just snapped 2 pics. It has a distinct Trail and Tar sticker on the frame. apparently price will be R2000. If you can describe the bike to me(components) I will tell you which cash crusaders to go to.

Thanks for all the advice. And if I get it set up and have a few practise rides- 1) Will it improve my time sig ificantly compared to mtb with slicks? 2) Is R4000 a good enough price that I may be abke to recoup after the ride?

Really? Why do you say I will enjoy it more? Ive never ridden a road bike...

I know close to nothing about road bikes but want to buy one for the argus. l've found a trek 1.2 on gumtree for R4000. From what ive googled it is very uch an entry level bike. I am ok with that but want to know if i will be abke to sell it and get my money back after the argus? Basically, is R4000 a good orice? they cost R10500 new at sportsmans. please forgive my typing, using a problematic tablet.

Hi all, The argus will be my first road race ever and today I realised that my bike, being 2x10, may work against me... I absolutely hate road riding(because of the other road users) but decided to man up and enter the argus. Will riding 2x10 make getting a good time in the Argus a big challenge? Should make a plan to get a road bike?

Hi all, I'm getting a new bike tomorrow(Monday) - havn't ridden in a year - been living overseas. Long story short, I just realised I dont have pedals and REALLY want to ride after work tomorow. I dont waant to buy new pedals because my girlfriend is returning from the UK at the end of the month and she has a new set of pedals for me. So, does anyone have an old/spare set which they would like to lend to a complete stranger? I work in Burg street Cape Town and live in Camps Bay. SPD's or Crankbrothers will be great - I have cleats for them both.

Ya, that s the plan, and you never know, I may really like the frame - them its just the wheels that I need to upgrade. I bought the bike R11 000!!! The seller was such a nice guy, bike is in new condition.

The components on the Axis are on a completely different level to the giant. Axis is 100% better having a X9 and XO group mix with avid brakes. The fork is a reba on the axis vs the giants recon - one again axis takes it... Wheels on both bikes are pretty bad! That leaves us with the frame- axis is supposedly designed by scott so i dont think it can be that bad.

I like all those bikes but wont pick one up for R13 000 in a good condition....

My only cnscern now is the weight, at 14kg's its a bit heavy!
