  1. I'm in London 1 & 2 June - terribly tempting - will come back today if I can make it.
  2. Nice one Daemon. I especially like the pics :-), nice use of DOF.
  3. We ride there couple times a month, my advice ... just ride where the wind takes you and explore all the small tracks. Some of the real gems are in between the main routes. Just pack a sandwich and take a bladder and go explore the farm. Enjoy!
  4. Have a look at www.distilledmag.com for a very nice article on the Pietermaritzburg World Cup with my pics :-). There's a PDF to download. Lots more on my gallery at www.mihevents.co.za/gallery
  5. cat-i has spoken! We need that inspirational smile back on her face so pay up or prepare to receive a 'Theo Bos' next time you're passing her! Maybe we should make a fence rule ... if you can't clear it, don't climb it :-)
  6. Danger Dassie ... I think you just nominated yourself as 'Stylist' for the shoots. Holy Roller ... model coordinator. We still need a make up artist
  7. HR re voting day: I'm there 7ish doing another photo session. Me thinks there's too many pics of cute foreign biker babes doing the rounds - we got as much talent local if not more ... maybe time to get some local girls onto 'film'. HR ... you gonna take the names while I do the shooting? I'm thinking 2010 South African Cycling Babes calender here.
  8. I'll put 2 or 3 up tonight but they're of general Sunday morning riders, no models. None of the 'models' pitched so I ended up doing a couple of test shots and took a scouting ride for an upcoming shoot.
  9. Thanks Anton. Like your work too :-) Cat-i: have to say of the thousands of MTB pics I have taken you must be the one that shows the most pleasure in her face, it looks org... never mind, you look like you're loving every second. Sara Muhl is a close second, always a friendly smile.
  10. 'normal' people are fine, its a test shoot to refine techniques for shooting mountain bikers in action. I've had quite a lot of responses so a big up to everyone, keep contacting me, I'm always looking for fellow mountain bikers to help refine shots & angles. I'll do this every weekend.
  11. lol. For cash you'll need to do more than ride up and down, big air, back flips, endo's, freehand wheelies come to mind . See you there P.
  12. As you may have deducted I have a SAS condition (shutter addiction syndrome) so whenever you're riding in a cool place where we can make magic pics let me know, one of these days I'm going to get a photo that's in focus ;-)
  13. I am looking to try a new shooting technique this weekend and am looking for a male or female 'model' to ride up and down a few sections at Groenkloof. An hour of your time appreciated. Will provide copies of the pics on CD. photos@mihevents.co.za or PM me. Thanks Carl
  14. Little twits! Hope you get better soon Erik.
  15. LOL @ gollum & blonde. You should ask her about the Peroni. Glad you made it back safe. Hope everyone did.
  16. Was great meeting lots of Hubbers at WC, had breakfast with Holyroller, drinks with Intern & Dangerdassie, chats with Jules & Boredgirl, Weightwheenie and some others. Sorry I know there were others that came over to say hi but I can't remember everyone. Please remind me. Posting pics on Hub is horror but I have loaded around 75 quality images in 3 galleries on my website ... http://www.mihevents.co.za/Gallery2/main.php
  17. Greg getting some air. More on http://www.mihevents.co.za/Gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=3709
  18. Irina's cooling vest.
  19. Pics again posted on my gallery below. Some incredible racing today. Burry Stander, Jose Hermida & Julien Absalom going flat out on an very difficult course. You gotta see it to belive it how these guys can go. In the ladies, Elisabeth Osl pulled away from early on to take the women's race. Check out the pic of her cooling vest. Tomorrow is downhill. http://www.mihevents.co.za/Gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=3638
  20. Awesome day in Pietermaritzburg today. Surprise of the day was Michael Hannah from Australia taking the top spot ahead of South Africa's own Greg Minnaar. In the ladies Tracy Moseley nailed it to qualify to go last on Sunday's final. Having lots of trouble uploading to TheHubSA so I've posted a link to my gallery where you can view the pics in larger sizes. Apology for the reroute but pressed for time and too complicated to upload. Cross Country tomorrow ... look out for pics of Burry! http://www.mihevents.co.za/Gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=3573
  21. Saturday at XC I'll be in customary bright orange t-shirt, with strong dust/mud tint, with a camera stuck to my right eye. If you spot me pop over so we can get a pic of you to post on here. How about all Hubbers present meet at the podium directly after Sat XC podium ceremony then we can take a big group picture!!! What do you think?
  22. Didn't think about that, what will I do
  23. I have room for 2-3 people in my car. Leaving Fri 3am from Pretoria, can pick up at Irene Mall, drop off at Cascades in Pmb. Returning Mon 4am from Pietermaritzburg, pick up at Cascades, drop off at Irene Mall. Unfortunately cannot offer any transport in Pmb. Cost: breakfast Carl Contact: photos@mihevents.co.za
  24. You two flirting with each other or with one another's bikes :-)
