  1. How about this at a proper sale price? Not the standard 'never to be repeated' price of R499 R399 sounds like a good price. https://www.cwcycles.co.za/product/marvel-t-2-workshop-stand
  2. Select Menu > Settings > System > Device Reset > Factory Reset > OK. NOTE: This deletes all user-entered information, but it does not delete your history. Haven't tried this myself yet, so not sure if it will resolve the issue. Not sure why a brand new 130 will have this issue.
  3. I made contact with Garmin SA and they told me to try a factory reset and if the problem persist, courier it directly to them to assess Garmin Southern Africa The Mall Offices Office 802 – 8th floor 11 Cradock Ave ,Rosebank, 2196 or via one of the dealers below: Cape Union MartSportsman’s WarehouseTrappers Trading
  4. In my opinion you made the right decision with the information available to you at the time and the guy's reaction to your questions. Well done, hope the bike and its owner is reunited.
  5. ah, the (in)famous software update where they enhance the one functionally that no one uses and mess up the ones you do actually use.
  6. It is but I must say that I only started experiencing this after about two years.
  7. Yes, battery was replaced. Been difficult to pinpoint if the issue is with the strap or HRM. If I pull the strap away from my chest it will pick up my HR and stop displaying after a few seconds, if i rub the monitor like a genie lamp it does the same.
  8. Have been experiencing the same issue with my Edge 520. It jumps between displaying noting at all to a ridiculously low reading to working fine. I tried every troubleshooting solution Garmin provides on their website and more but nothing works. Probably have to send it off to Garmin to have it tested. I've now just excepted that it will work when it works.
  9. Same items, same price, just the name of the "sale" that's different.
  10. That face has 'Slap me' written all over it
  11. Will make use of such a service. Most of the time collections are during office hours and only until 18:00. Can't always get away from the office or get there in time after work due traffic, other commitments etc.
  12. Just make sure they have size 34 in stock before you take the drive out there. Sometimes they have items on sale but on specific sizes only.
  13. Can the same arguments for carbon handle bars be applicable to carbon seat posts? Already have a carbon handle bar on my bike and considering upgrading the seatpost as well but not managed to convince myself yet.
  14. Had the same yo-yo'ing experience with a E-bike rider in my group, pass, get passed, get stuck behind, pass, get passed............ you get the picture. Maybe something for the organizers to look at for next year.
  15. Overheard on the radio this morning that entries has been extended till midnight on Thursday. I assume you will then be allowed to collect on Saturday morning?
  16. Good to know, doing the STBB event this upcoming weekend which takes place on the Bottelary trails
  17. Did the 45km last year, it covered sections of Altydgedacht, Hillcrest, Contermans, Faircape and Meerendedal totaled 1300m of climbing. If you do trails like Bottelary this is do-able. The 60km includes the Hoogekraal trails.
  18. Seems like every time there's a bike jacking or attempted bike jacking in the Durbanville area there's this (or a) white bakkie involved.
  19. So in addition to the upgrade kit you still need to buy the crank set, rear hub and possibly the BB also.
  20. Does the 12 speed chain ring fit on the M8000 crankset?
  21. Was wondering the same thing, currently have a 2 x 11 XT setup. Will follow this thread closely.
