  1. Also only had good service from them. Will definitely recommend them.
  2. Only thing missing from that pick is a Marlboro hanging from his mouth
  3. Explains why I need to inflate mine to minimum 2 bar (for a 70kg rider) to not get that sliding around feeling, with the Maxxis I could comfortably go down to 1.3 bar.
  4. Not sure what's worse, that these guys are still using the same scam or that there's still people falling for this scam.
  5. A bit of hit and miss when it comes to dealing with them. You either get good service, bad service or no service at all.
  6. Thanks ChrisF, will be great if you can check the brand and let me know. Don't want to buy to anything to cheap that will only last a few rides (or falls) but also don't want to break the bank.
  7. Any suggestion on shoes (tekkies) for a 12 year old that just started cycling. He's riding mostly pump tracks, shorter trails and I'm looking to get him a pair of shoes that's a bit more grippier than his current pair.
  8. Is this not what he's doing, ensuring no one else is on the trails before sunrise?
  9. Both bikes you mentioned are good bikes and equally specced. But what you mentioned below is a very important point when choosing between bikes, if the Silverback just feels right go with it. I've bought plenty of bikes based on that 'feel and fit' and never regretted my decisions. PS - mostly ended with buying Scotts
  10. Yes if they do come up for sale they go quickly. But good to know from the feedback received that you have a decent alternative in the Marvel
  11. I'm also looking at the Marvel rack but was also thinking that maybe 2nd hand Thule may also be a option?
  12. If they want to use this outdated operating model that's fine but at least back it up with a decent response time otherwise they are going to be left behind. Expecting a response within 2 - 3 days is not unreasonable imo.
  13. Been waiting for two weeks for query on long fingers Fox gloves, still no response.
  14. Even in the middle of lockdown last year they had the same excellent service
  15. Do some more research, you might have a piece of history on your hands https://community.bikehub.co.za/features/_/news/mtb/international-mtb/esther-suss-aims-for-the-top-at-epic-r1961
  16. This bike is being sold on Facebook under two different profiles. Very dodgy if the 'owner' doesn't know his e-bike isn't an e-bike.
  17. Interesting that John Hopkins Medicine uses the term "is usually too thin to provide adequate protection" and not that it is worse that not wearing a mask. Guess some cover is better than no cover. https://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/health/conditions-and-diseases/coronavirus/coronavirus-face-masks-what-you-need-to-know How effective are neck gaiters and bandanas in stopping the spread of the coronavirus? Are masks with valves OK? None of these three types of face coverings works as well as a proper face mask. A good mask has a double layer of washable, breathable fabric that helps keep the wearer from spreading potentially infected droplets into the air. A bandanna tied around the face does not work as well as a mask because it is open at the bottom. A gaiter (a tube of thin, stretchy knit fabric that can be worn around the neck and pulled up to cover the nose and mouth) is usually too thin to provide adequate protection. Likewise, masks with exhalation valves can allow your droplets to escape into the air. Johns Hopkins Medicine does not permit bandanas, gaiters, or masks with exhalation valves to be worn by patients, staff members or visitors at our locations
  18. Flexair black size large been out of stock since February but always on sale
  19. Had the same issue and tried everything you mentioned above for months. Noticed a small scuff mark on one of the contact patches, didn't think that could be it. But apparently it was, bought a replacement strap and all is working 100% now.
  20. Fox Flexair if you are looking for a minimalist glove and snug fit. I try to stay away from Fox gloves with velcro, the velcro tend to wear out quite quickly in my experience with them.
