I think it was well organised overall, had a good race and met some great people. Does anyone know how to sort the results by start groups? I would like to see the size of the batches.

Hi all, is anyone else still struggling with the reseeding? I only received my start time yesterday, so 3 days after re-seeding officially closed. They put me in MM after I started B last year and finished 03:12 - I was aiming to get back to sub 3 this year. They reseeded me to J and I re-submitted, but since then they are quiet on WhatsApp and email. Anyone with a similar experience?

Wait, isn't that a CSA lead car? I would think they have a GPS and actually are supposed to know the route. No rider should be expected to question where they are led by that car.

Oh wow. This is so terrible for her, I wasn't aware. She just followed the car, how could she have known? Same probably counts for all the other guys. How did they not make the actual route more clear after this had happened with Emma? Question is, how would FinishTime know, cause there is no video footage of the others that went that way....

I honestly also don't know how they did it. I chatted to a guy later in the race that was worried getting disqualified cause he had followed some guys and only later realised it was a wrong route. It's +/- 1/2 the official loop. When I watched my FlyBy on Strava I saw that it was a lot of people that did it. I posted a screenshot a bit earlier.

It seems the official times are still tbc - mine changed by 11 minutes over night. Does anyone know what happens to all the ones that (probably accidentally) took the wrong Kyalami turn? I thought the system wouldn't notice as they went in and out correctly, there are tons of people without a "Kyalami Time" in the results though. Was there a timing station they missed somewhere on the race track?

Hi all - I am considering doing the Magalies Sleepy River Classic, who else is in? If anyone is driving from Northcliff area and can give me and my bike a lift to the race and back, please send a DM. I'd be happy to cover petrol - probably starting B or C - haven't registered yet.

Summing up: While the wind is blowing for everyone, rules are only for the idiots who follow them.

Besides all the start related issues: The highway really was problematic, because one lane was too narrow for the big (A plus some B) bunch I was in at that time. Then the loads of fellow riders passing the bunch on the traffic dedicated lane, forcing motorists to pass on the shoulder, didn't make it better, and I think in all honesty they should all be disqualified for leaving the lane and putting everyone around them in danger. The entitlement on SA roads is on the same scary level for motorists and cyclists alike it seems.

Am I gonna get in trouble for doing a second lap? I am considering catching up to my wife as she starts 2 hours after me, however I've read somewhere that apart from the DL it is strictly forbidden to do 2 laps. Does anyone have any experience? Do I have to smuggle myself onto the route behind the start or something?
