  1. Its just linked to my edge 520. Battery life is between 4 to 5 hours depending how busy it is. Busy roads seem to drain it.
  2. Been riding with mine for sometime now, Its defiantly help and lets you know something is coming only depend on it. Still look behind you to be sure.
  3. Update your software on 520 and varia via garmin connect. Will sort out all issues.
  4. Loving my new Reacto 5000
  5. Drove down from PE for this race. Was very skeptical about it because of all the negative reports. At the end of the day I really had a good race and enjoyed it. Lots to still be sorted out as mentioned in previous post but I think it will only get better. Ill be back for sure.
  6. So is there any clarification on what bikes we can/cannot use?
  7. Shucks.....coming down from PE for which I thought would be a great event. Not so sure now. Think its safest just to load my road bike get the race over with as fast as possible and then hit the pub hard afterwards.
  8. Yip......know these guys. They full of ****. Often cyclist coming from the other way have to veer off the road, never mind cars.
  9. No no, didn't want a refund just a transfer but got told I was out the transfer date? Just found them very unhelpful. A kind of tough luck pal attitude. I didn't take it much further and accepted that's the way things go.
  10. Yup, been there done that. Broke fibula 4 weeks before race last year. You can scream blue murder and you still wont get anything out of them. Sorry I lie, they said I can volunteer as a helper which I did with broken fibula and all. Never again though with all the money they have they treat the volunteers like ****. But still its an event that I love doing so forked out the R4230.00 for next year and got my slot. Somethings in life you just have to suck up and get on with it. Just my few pennies worth.
  11. I shopped around and did a lot of research on deep section wheels. The LBS could not help me with what I was looking for (tri combo) and kept trying to punt known brands at high prices. I then started to go the Chinese route and after a lot of looking around and chatting the BS guys got hold of me. I ended up buying a tri combo set exactly like what I wanted and all I can say is that they are awesome wheels. Plus the great service I got from them, I will without a doubt purchase my next frame from them. The big brands have there place with the guys with the mulla but for the majority of us, guys like Black Spade fill an important gap.
  12. 1. Don't see that they are doing to much wrong besides the one guy. As mentioned he might be overtaking. 2. All you guys that are having a dig as their sizes is just typical of how we cyclist are. Rude and obnoxious.
  13. My recommendation, go DH or even Blackspade. As for the Mavics, Ive got a set that are not even 2 old and all the spokes started to corrode. Sent them back to Mavic and fair to them they replaced the spokes. Only problem is that the new spokes are now corroding.
