Closed till further notice.. After the fires the rain came and flooded/washed away majority of the trails. I'll be in Sedgefield for a week this holidays. Was looking forward to do the trail park again.

Please name the store. Not to name and shame them, but to warn the rest of us that live in Paarl. If this is my LBS I would very much like to know that this is the way they treat bikes!

Spice Route has loops of different distances. R60 for a day pass. There is a kids loop, and I think I saw them busy building a pump track for the kids. Take him on the 10km or 20km loop. I'm sure someone mentioned them before.. Knus Karoo Kombuis at the bottom of the Taal Monument singletracks in Paarl. Bicycle parking area and a killer menu!! The only way I get my wife to ride over the mountain with me is if we stop at Knus for coffee or smoothies. Oh, and they also have their own trails in their backyard.

That's Paarl Mountain down there..

What a fun race!! I'm already putting it on the calendar for next year! We managed second place in the mixed team of 2 category with a total of 17 laps..just couldn't keep up to the CannonWorks team during the night shift. Our strategy sucked.. We still beat our target of 15 laps (11 laps from me and 6 from my wife). Unishaun, that was something else to see you on the trails with the unicycle! Well done man!! 60km on one wheel, that's just crazy!

Only seeing now that they posted this event on bikehub. Jeez this was a fun event, best of the year so far for me!! I think it's going to get big in a few years time. Well organized, awesome singletracks 95% of the route, well stocked water and food tables. And a massive plus point that the finishline on all three days end at places like Rhebokskloof and Spice Route that instantly create a great atmosphere with restaurants, beers, enough seating and shade to chill there the entire day. I can think of big events that has been going on for 20 years that lack in this department. Also perfect timing to get the stage race legs going before Wines 2 Whales.

Will be the first time me and the missus will be teaming up! Entered as a mixed team of two for this ENDURANCE race.. Can't wait! Have never done this event, but all the videos and photos they post it looks like a lot of fun! We have set ourselves a target of 15 laps(Probably 10 from me and 5 from her). That gives us time to watch the Springboks vs All Blacks game on the bigscreen inside the beertent, to klap a few, and to sleep a few hours. But if we see we are close to a podium spot we might just push a bit harder!

One day the 100 Miler, maybe MAYBE the 50 Miler this year..mulling..mulling.. Only been cycling for 7 months, not sure if I'd even be ready for the 50 Miler yet.
