  4. Slightly colder than anticipated, but nonetheless 16 folk pitched for the ride. Chilli Pepper, Zoo Cookie, Snapshot, LizzyB,Sonic, mrPV and myself made up the hub contingent. Bits round Fountains valley were at 0 not taking windchill into acount. Pace not particularly hard but found out that a couple of weeks off the bike due to flu are still bound to hurt. Going up Cornwall Hill Sonic and mrPV were held up by a flat. Chilli, ZC and myself gallantly waited for them to catch up (the fact that someone stuck two burning briquettes into my chest to replace my lungs played no role in my gallantry) The last stretch was fairly uneventful, and ended with a trundle over Klapperkop hill before a well deserved(?) coffee. Thanks guys Good company will always make a ride worthwhile

Starting at Waterkloof Lifestyle centre (just off Hans Strydom, near the R21 offramp) we will do a loop through Fountains, Irene, Highveld, Cornwall Hill, PvR ending over Klapperkop Hill. Am just about over a bout of flu so will be doing about 12.36kph if anyone wants to join me. The rest will probably be round 28kph Round 60km or so
