Can anyone give me a low down on the race tags we get in SA? I did the 94.7 last year, and think that was racetec? but now just registered for Juma, and that is SAS? Will each rider have two tags? Does 94.7 use the SAS for seeding? Thanks in advance

itches have to be Scratched What you buy, new or used, as long as you want it, it will be the machine for you. I recently upgraded, I had a choice between a Lapierre and Silverback... both great bikes... choose the lapierre because there was something about it that I liked.. probably not the best choice from a resell perspective... but man... It just does me... so no matter what you choose... make sure it something you want to ride...

Also got ripped by CRC. My Total parcel cost R1599-00, total customs and Skynet charges R1688-00. The first invoice from Skynet was R899-99, I thought it was a little high, but OK... until I got the 2nd invoice today, another R769-00... Initially confused and thought they made a mistake, only to figure out the idiots at CRC sent 2 shipments... What really erks me is that the items that I received today, i added to the order to save on shipping costs... a few little extras... the real item is still at customs. I going to tell Skynet that I not willing to pay their charges and that the must return it to CRC... CRC response, copy and paste of some bull****, didn't bat an eyelid when I said that I not paying the charges and asking to have items returned..... So F*&k them... Keep u posted...

Ok, So did another ride, eish... still creaking. Bought some carbon paste for seat post... Still creaking. The rhythm of the creak was weird, did make sense that it was coming from the crank... it was if it was coming from the back suspension, but only when I pedaled up hill.... Found the offending mother... Back wheel skewer... It need a little tightening, and the creak vanished... So made sense, as I was applying stress to the cassette and suspension, it created its rhythm... But, will do a proper test this weekend coming....

Ok, will have a closer look tomorrow, have the SRAM XX1

So the my creaking sound seems to come from the crank or when I pedal... When I stand and pedal, it doesn't creak, nor if I bounce the suspension while standing... Only when I pedal.... Bearings?

Keep in mind that the purpose of doing this was to protect the paint and frame...

Just some background - I spend the last couple of months hunting for a bicycle... in that time, I saw a good couple of bikes, in particular a 2013 model that was absolutely spotless, all because the owner put protection layer on his frame,... So based on that, I decided to put a protection layer on my frame when I got my bike. Last week my new girlfriend arrived, and today her wrapped by VPS Randburg today.... and to be honest, initially, I thought a R1K to have it wrapped was a tad expensive... but man, when I saw the amount of work that went into it, what a bargain. Most IMPORTANLY, the bike looks soooo amazing... Getting a creaking sound as I am cycling, originally it sounded like it was coming from front suspension, but when I stop, and depress the suspension, both front and back, I hear nothing. So it seems that it is only when I am pedaling... what could possible be the problem... It was fine, until I lifted the seat ... I assume that I have a better pedal stroke because the seat was too low... but boy... the constant creaking sound is going to drive me to drink... any thoughts or suggestions

Also relatively new to the cycling scene...Got me a hand-me-down (mtb) from my boet... Who is quite into it... So planning my first 94.7 on a pedaling bicycle.. (Have done the event 9 times with a motorized bicycle(Motorbike)), I must admit that it is a lot easier twisting your wrist to get up hills opposed to pedaling...

I had the same issue. I just bought a 26" rim and tyre (Special trainer tyre) and bob is your uncle, works perfectly...
