  1. COOL!! Those 5km in the CBD are going to really cool. Also with 8 odd corners in that 5km means your going to have to be really aware that the bunch doesn't split up there Thats going to be fun
  2. Agree, dont go Shimano... They break far too easily I got a set of the Aksiums as training wheels and they are really tough, roll pretty well but are a little on the heavy side - which isn't the worst thing in the world for a triaining wheel. Good value for money in my opinion
  3. Re sale is not necessarily such a huge problem. 1stly you dont buy a bike with selling it to someone else again in mind... But if you cut the seat post at its max limit - you are still given a good 2 - 4 cm play (depending on make) with regards to spacers and moving the saddle up. The initial set up can be a bit tricky, but with lots of measuring its not that bad. I got mine right, on the 1st cut. Cut on the upper most limit and no need for spacers. Got it perfect 1st time. Also if you ever sell the frame you will be selling it to someone of a similar size to you, so if I sell my frame the next buyer can increase the saddle height by a couple of cm's..... Its a personal choice - I really like it and think it looks great.
  4. Was this study scientifically proven?<?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Dunno? it was a while ago... Look pretty decent though. I agree with Bob, its the partying all night looking for it that will have the negative effect, not the actual act
  5. I read a study a little while ago that it has zero impact on athletic performance ... as long as you dont spend the whole night out trying to chase after what you are looking for
  6. I see a new ISP frame will be available soon check it out http://www.cyclingnews.com/tech/2008/probikes/?id=mark_cavendish_giant08
  7. AWESOME - I'm jealous!!! Enjoy !!!!
  8. I have the ISP, its an awesome ride. I dont think you will have issues with the mast breaking - if it does its a warrenty issue and you will get a new frame. As for re-sale you do get a couple of cm play out of the seat post - so cut it on its highest limit and dont use the spacers... But at the end of the day a personal choice - all the top end frames are very good and comes down to what you like most and are willing to pay. I am very happy with the ISP though
  9. I think if you are looking for a slower group in the area, then have a look at the Edenglen & Edenvale cycling clubs They will be able to cater for you. Decent sized groups and some friendly people too
  10. Seems like he's grown his hair a bit then, but Mr McPhisto confirms it was OB . You guy's talk about him as if he's a celebrity I think he is more infamous than famous...
  11. Well nice to meet the 2 of you and ya, I will keep my eyes peeled when riding those rodes again we carried on through petit and boksburg and landed up with a nice 4hr ride...
  12. Ya we had another guy without a helmut on our saturday ride... and surprise surprise... he crashed I think he was alright, but dont think he will be back in a hurry If you wanna be stupid, you better be tough
  13. Oh alright I was one of the 3 guys you joined up with - with the De Rosa Kit & yellow helmut.... small world
